Final images rendered V-Ray material. \\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\ Description: The People's Liberation Army (PLA) ZBD-04 or Type 04 is a 20-ton class, medium armored, amphibious, infantry fighting vehicle (IFV) evolved from the tracked chassis of the of the ZBD97. The ZBD-04 features improved armor and a more compact design for enhanced survivability compared with its predecessor. Protection against Nuclear, Bacteriological and Chemical (NBC) agents is included as standard equipment. The fire control system was improved as well. The vehicle is powered by a diesel engine allowing a top speed in excess of 65 kilometers per hour (kph) over a distance of 500 kilometers. Waterjets are provided to allow amphibious operations with a maximum speed on water of 20 kph. The ZBD-04 IFV entered service with the Chinese PLA by 2010. The ZBD04A IFV features a two-man turret-mounted 100mm main gun with a 30mm automatic cannon as well as a 7.62mm machine gun. The 100m gun is able to fire the Bastion anti-tank missile. The vehicle features a rear door for the seven infantrymen squad carried by this armored vehicle. Compared with the basic ZBD04, the new variant features a grilled fence around the turret for additional protection and a Beidou global satellite navigation receptor also installed onto the turret. The ZBD04A was being tested by the PLA at theLanzhou Military Region in April 2014.
