The RDS-1, also known as Article 501 and First Lightning, was used in the Soviet Union's first nuclear weapon test, the United States assigned it the code-name Joe-1, in reference to Joseph Stalin. The weapon was designed at the Kurchatov Institute. The RDS-1 explosion yielded 22 kilotons of TNT, similar to the American Gadget and Fat Man bombs. Originally created with 3ds Max. This model is suitable for use in broadcast, high-res film close-ups, advertising, design visualization, etc. This model contains 46 objects collected in groups. Modeled for subdivision - only quads and tris polygons. This model contains 36134 polygons with TurboSmooth OFF This model contains 1122016 polygons with TurboSmooth ON (set to 2 iterations.)
