Octopus rigged textured 3D model ready for animation. --------------------------------------------------- Hight quality. The minimal amount of tris. The model is smoothed ready (Turbosmooth is already applied). One UV map. UV's are not overlapping. 3ds Max 2017 V-ray and Corona scenes. SSS material is applied. 5 *.jpg textures 4096x4096px. System Unit Setup is set up to 1 centimeter. Display unit scale is set to Metric - Centimeters. --------------------------------------------------- Either in the corona scene or in the v-ray one there are 4 first frames, containing 4 different poses for the octopus you could see on preview images. Also there are four obj files for each pose. --------------------------------------------------- 4 additional layeres in the scene: Controllers - controllers for animation; Octopus - main 3d model (frozen by default); RIG - all helpers, dummies.... needed for rigging (hiden by default); Scene - cameras, lights and planes for smooth lightening (unhide it before rendering). NOTE: This model contains poles (more than 5 edges that converge to a single vertex.) --------------------------------------------------- RIG --------------------------------------------------- The rig is fully handmade and unique. Works only in 3ds max!!! Controllers (in the Controllers layer, watch the preview image): CONTR_main - Main controller to move, rotate and scale the hole octopus with all other controllers and helpers. contr_back and contr_up - controllers for deforming the 'head' (watch third turntable) TEN_CON_MAIN_**** - 8 controllers for each tentacle (look like stars) to provide the initial position for tentacles. Each of eight controllers has additional attribute (in the modify panel) with only single option. If it is "on" then the rotation of random TEN_CON_*** controller will cause the rotation of all its children TEN_CON_*** controllers (by default). If it is "off" then there will be no rotation of children controllers, only movement as they are just linked. It is made to provide quick tentacle poses if you know exactly what you want. TEN_CON_**** - colored ring controllers. Work by default as I described before. Except rotating you may move them changing the tentacle length. Thanks for attention!
