This model is a real world, accurate representation of the asteroid 4 Vesta.

-Native File (Blender)-

The geometry of the model is a fairly low resolution at 98 vertices. A modifier called Multires holds all the extra sculpt data. The multi-res sculpt data is well over a million vertices and is very detailed.

The model is made to be rendered both with Blender's real-time render engine, EEVEE. As well as with Cycles. The product images were primarily done using Cycles.

-Other Formats-

I have exported a hi-res and low-res version of the asteroid. The hi-res export is 1,572,866 vertices and the low res export is 98 vertices.

I have not used 3ds Max much so there is nothing special about that file. I primerely use Blender and that is where the Hi-Res sculpt data is held. Both the 3ds Max and the c4d files have the Hi-Res export of the asteroid not the base mesh.

-Textures-

This model includes:

Ambient Occlusion Map

Normal Map

I have baked the normal map from the hi-res sculpt so the mid-res export of the 3D model should be enough if you use it in conjunction with the normal map.

The textures come in two sizes 4K and a 2K export of each one.

The AO map is pretty tight (staying pretty far back into the cracks of the model). The NRM map is baked from the full res model and the COL map has no real color. The COL map merely changes the value of the surface of the asteroid, making parts darker and parts lighter.

-Note-

Vesta is about 326 miles in diameter in real life, so I have not made it actual size. This is to ensure the model is easier to handle. If you want the model to be actual size you can scale it exactly ten thousand (10,000) times and it will be real-world scale. It is currently 172.157ft (52.5 meters) along the X-axis.
