Mars 24K Ultra Detailed Planet Globe 3D Model

Overview

The workhorse of the Mars set: a full planet sphere at 24K surface resolution, heavy enough for hero framing but far lighter on memory than the 32K edition. Global coverage of the real albedo pattern, no stylisation - the canyon system, the volcanic plateau, the cratered highlands and both polar caps are where they belong.

Geometry

Polygonal quads only, 225,000 polygons and 223,908 vertices. Equirectangular latitude and longitude UV layout, the standard mapping for planet spheres, so nothing has to be reprojected.

Textures

Four resolution tiers are included, each with Color, Bump, Normal and Specular maps: 24K at 24000x12000, 16K at 16000x8000, 10K at 10000x5000 and 8K at 8000x4000. Use the tier the shot needs - 24K for hero framing, 8K or 10K for background planets and animation tests.

Native Scene

Cinema 4D R20, Physical renderer. Two prepared scenes are supplied, a Mars Sky setup and a Mars Sunset setup, each with Mars, Atmosphere and Sunset layers and a nightSkyLight controller for the brightness of the night side.

NOT INCLUDED

Space background, stars, glow and lens flare from the preview renders. Phobos, Deimos, other planets, spacecraft or satellites. Lighting rig, HDRI and post colour grading used in the previews. Surface level terrain, rocks or rover assets.

Note

This is a planet model with textures, not a texture-only pack. Sister listings publish the same planet at 32K, 16K and 10K, so a background shot does not have to carry the full resolution.
