Description
This is a model of an office wood desk with adjustable height capability, designed to allow the user to work either, sitting at a chair or standing up (modular, contemporary design)
• Originally created with Maya 2013
This model is part of a real-world modular furniture catalog. While this desk is best used as a part of a fully integrated design, the model is a freestanding unit, and can be deployed alone.
|| USAGE ||
• This model is suitable for use in design visualization, broadcast, and advertising.
• This model is an accurate, real-world scale representation of a modular office desk using centimeters with a scale of 1 unit = 1 centimeters. The model, at its default height position, is 72.56 centimeters tall (see specs).
|| SPECS ||
• This model contains 24 sub-objects; 3436 polygons with no smoothing: 2934 quads, 502 tris
• Maya versions are rigged in order to simulate the real-world height-adjustable feature. The rig assembly consists of 1 skeleton, 1 IK handle, 1 master control object (arrow-shaped) and, 2 move proxy objects (locators). The rig is a simplified “equivalent” of the real-world unit (the Photoshop composited image shows the rig's action)
• This model contains Standard and mental ray materials (see next bullet)
• This product includes Maya versions with and without mental ray (separate downloads)
|| PRESENTATION IMAGES ||
• Unless otherwise noted on the images, all preview images are rendered with Maya’s mental ray 3.10 Renderer, using Final Gather. If you render this file using a different version of this renderer, you may not have the same results as you see on the thumbnails.
• Architectural elements and additional items (Jetty table, guest chairs and wall picture frame) for reference only and are NOT included.
• Except for the image showing the range of movement of the adjustable-height rig, no Photoshop or compositing used, Product is ready to render out-of-the-box. Lights and cameras are not included in the file.
|| TEXTURES ||
• 2048x2048 JPG (2) – Wooden objects
• 1024x1024 JPG/PNG (3) – Ancillary elements
• Some materials use procedural utilities and textures which are included with Maya: Blendcolors and Fractal (Non Maya versions substitute both with 1024x1024 baked files)
• All non-procedural textures are created from original photographs or drawings
• Wood and sandblast textures are tile able. Object’s UVs are not confined between 0-1 texture space
• All sub-objects, whether textured or not, have UVs
• Unwrapped, non-overlapping UVs on a per sub-object basis (when selecting a group, UV overlapping will be seen.)
|| GENERAL ||
• Originally modeled in inches, scaled into centimeters (2.54 factor). All mental ray materials’ distance-based parameters (such as mia material’s ambient occlusion), and rig assembly translation limits are in centimeters
• Scene objects are organized by layers and groups
• No third-party renderer or plug-ins needed in order to use this product.
|| ADDITIONAL NOTES ||
• DWG and DXF versions are oriented using standard CAD Z-is-up coordinates.
• DWG and DXF file formats do not have textures/materials applied and will not render like the preview images (texture files are included in order to help the user to recreate the materials – see next bullet.) Also a screen shot picturing the rig assembly is included for reference.
• A txt file is included detailing all the standard and mental ray materials. This will help the users of other software packages to recreate the materia
