C57-D Space Cruiser from Forbidden Planet 3D Model

|| PRODUCT DESCRIPTION || This is a model of "C57-D Space Cruiser". Originally created with 3ds Max 12,0. Other included formats: FBX and OBJ. The "United Planets Space Cruiser C-57D" is a fictional starship featured in MGM's 1956 sci- fi film "Forbidden Planet". The design used for the starship is a flying saucer, inspired by the numerous of UFO sightings during the 1950s era. "Forbidden Planet" was produced by Nicholas Nayfack, directed by Fred M. Wilcox and starring Walter Pidgeon, Anne Francis, Leslie Nielsen, Warren Stevens, Jack Kelly and Robby the Robot. Shot in Eastmancolor and CinemaScope, it is considered one of the great science fiction films of the 1950s, a precursor of what was to come for sci-fi cinema. The characters and isolated setting have been compared to those in William Shakespeare's The Tempest. Its plot contains certain story analogues to the play. || USAGE || This work is in the public domain because it was published in the United States between 1923 and 1963 and although there may or may not have been a copyright notice, the copyright was not renewed. || SPECS || This model contains: 44 objects. 92397 vertices. 153403 polygons.
