Description
CIM-10 Bomarc surface to air missile
The CIM-10 Bomarc missile was the first Surface-to-Air Missile (SAM) deployed by the Air Force in the 1960s. The Bomarc was a supersonic long-range missile used at air defense of North America during the cold war. Able to cruise at Mach 2.5, the missile could fly as far as 400km and carried a W40 nuclear warhead that was detonated by a proximty fuse.
