based on the design Ghs-6A Russian High Altitude helmet developed for Soviet pilots of high-altitude aircrafts.
MiG airplanes can operate at the edge of the earth's atmosphere. Their crews wear high-altitude suits (similar to spacesuits) and these Gsh-6A high altitude pressure helmets. Used in Mig-21's, MiG-23's and MiG-25's, replacing the GSh-4. Identical to the one worn by Victor Belenko when he defected to Japan with his MiG-25 on Monday September 6, 1976. Made in 1980s
