Description

Locomotive 363 is the most widely used Czechoslovak dual-system electric locomotive, after the split in the federation used its two successor countries. In English it is used nickname "Ace". The locomotive was manufactured between 1980 and 1990 in the company Skoda Plzen (factory type Skoda 69E). Locomotive 363 (1987 ES series 499.1) are intended for hauling trains on passenger and freight performance. The locomotive is dual-system and is able to run on both the main power supply systems Czech Railways, therefore, both the older 3 kV DC system, as well as the newer system phase AC 25 kV 50 Hz. This is adapted electrical equipment of the vehicle. It provides the main train pulling through intercourse current systems.
