Description
this is an 3d model of my old 120 minute darkroom interval timer. i mostly use it for cooking and other stuff but it was made to help people develop photos a few decades ago.
notes:
-the screws on the back are not fully modeled, just the heads
-nothing is rigged
-nothing is modeled on the inside only exterior
-timer face texture is 2048x2048
-everything else is materials
how real ones work for animation purposes...
the way it works is a wind up key on the back winds the timer and a pull bar that winds up the bell. the little numbers are for the little hand and the big numbers for the big hand. the 10 big numbers represent the 10 minutes between each little number. so the big hand goes around the clock once while the little hand just moves to the next number (similar to a regular clock)
when both hands are straight up the bell sounds so you have to set it before pulling the bar down. also the hands go CLOCKWISE unlike most timers.
