Description
The idea of this material is to imitate an EVA rubber with medium or high density (as the material that is used in some playgrounds or shoes).
I made the range of primary and secondary colors plus black and white with this material, to have a base where to start and an idea of how it works.
So in the same scene you will get the eight colors of EVA rubber.
It has a matte finish with a subtle but very blurred reflection for better define its forms, also has a faked slight translucency that feels subtly in the changes of sharp angles of the surfaces and in the transition zones from light to shadows.
The textures for the different channels used by the material, are tiled images from photographs of real EVA pieces.
The material has been created with Cinema 4D 13 prime, so no need to use 'Physical render', 'Advanced Render' or 'Global Illumination' to look perfect (although it works just as well if you're going to use it) in the same way as it does not use any special channel, external plugin, or exotic shader is fully compatible with version 12 of Cinema4D.
Please have a look at the notes about the scene, in the section 'project info'.
I hope that will be useful, best regards.
