Description
The North American F-86 Sabre is a transonic jet fighter aircraft. Produced by North American Aviation, the Sabre is best known as the United States' first swept wing fighter that could counter the swept-wing Soviet MiG-15 in high-speed dogfights in the skies of the Korean War, fighting some of the earliest jet-to-jet battles in history. Considered one of the best and most important fighter aircraft in that war, the F-86 is also rated highly in comparison with fighters of other eras.
Between 1952 and 1953, during the Korean war Col. James K. Johnson was wing commander of 4th Fighter Interceptor Wing and attained the rank of double ace.
Modelled in 1:1 real world scale, all parts are conveniently named and separated, textures and specular maps are 4096x4096 pixels and it has the following key-frame animations already in place:
Landing gear
Flaps
Airbrakes
Canopy
Original format is 3ds max 9. You might need to re-apply the textures depending on the software used.
