Striking tall (reputedly the tallest pub in London) corner Victorian public house. Built at the end of 19th century in red brick with white stone dressings, the pub has a tall striped gable to both fronts and surviving tall chimneys. Corner pepper-pot turrets. Decrative plasterwork above windows. It is a handsome landmark that has been well restored c.2007.
