About the Rifle: The HK416 was an improvement of the M4 assault rifle. These improvements were made by Heckler & Koch, a German defense manufacturing company. Improvements on over the M4 includes international symbols for Safe, Semi-Automatic, and Fully automatic, a new pistol grip designed by H&K, attached to the rifle is a new single-piece hand guard with a free floating RIS system, used for mounting accessories. The most important change in the short stroke gas piston system used to cycle the weapon which was used in H&K's G36. This gas system makes the rifle much more reliable than the M4. However, the HK416 still uses the same platform as the AR-15 series of rifles. About the model: The package comes with .max (Version 9) along with a .3DS export. I've included a simple Specular map and Defuse map which includes your choice of six different camouflage skins and a non-camouflage skin. Each moveable part is detached for easy animation as well. Moving parts include the magazine, magazine release button, bolt catch, bolt and bolt carrier, charging handle, fire selector switch, trigger and the adjustable butt-stock. The entire model is UV mapped for easy texture changes or if you want to make your own skin. Rail mounted accessories include the basic iron sights (front and rear) and two different snap on grip sizes. The rear iron sight includes all four peep hole sizes and can be adjusted. The aperture size matches with the number included in the skin.
