Description

This Island is a highly detailed Archipelago. A high-resolution height-map drives the landscape, while you gain complete control on texturing using maps that are included. This model also includes a bump map in the form of an ecosystem. This makes it really easy to set up this landscape and use it in your scenes from a distance while still portraying an ecosystem, without the need for actual plant models. The included convexity map allows you to add a realistic bump to the colormap, so close up renders don't look so flat. Unzip all files from all folders and place ALL files in the same folder after unzipping. 1 folder for all files. Then you should be able to load up the.c4d files and it should just load right away for you. Note, there are no .objs in this download. You can displace a plane object using Island Mountain.tif, then export that plane as an object after displacing it. I did this to reduce file size and resources needed to work on the landscape in the viewports because it literally had almost billions of polygons after I finished creating it. The included files are: C4D file Vue Scene with custom atmosphere Height Map (for displacing) Erosion maps convexity map a colormap ecosystem bump map This landscape will also work well in the Unreal Engine and Cry Engine, as well as Unity Engine. I have tested all 3 and it works just fine in all 3 using all of the included maps.
