If the model contains nurbs, i"m not shure, if they will work correctly in older versions of C4D. In this case you have to use the polygon-object. 3ds: contains only the polygon-model, no nurbs. contains textures and materials, but you have to be optimize them (reflection...) dxf and obj: materials and textures are ignored on c4d-export, so you have to texture the model again. but the download contains all images, that have been used. ***************************
