Description
Highly Detailed Egyptian Khopesh modeled after one of the swords recovered from King Tutankhamun's tomb in 1922. That blade was purely for ceremonial purposes; this is a reproduction of one that has been sharpened and well-used.
The model is cleanly constructed using smart edge flow with subdivision techniques in mind. The Base Mesh is 320 polygons (1,278 at 1 subdivision Iteration, 5,112 at 2 iterations). Nearly all of the geometry is quads and i have taken great care to avoid vertex poles.
The UVs are cleanly laid-out so that there are no overlaps and minimal space is wasted. All textures are 2048 x 2048 JPG format images. The model uses Diffuse, Bump, and two different Specular Maps.
Previews were rendered using V-Ray. The V-Ray download includes two scene files: one with the model by itself and another which contains the light stage used to prepare the preview images seen above.
The model has also been prepared for use in mental ray and Scanline. I have also included an Autodesk FBX format for migration to other apps. All five scene files are included with purchase; they are separated into four separate downloads (by Renderer) for your convenience.
