Description
A high quality 3D model of a Limestone rock created with photogrammetry. The model was retopologized in Zbrush and is made of quads only. The scene is set up in centimeters and the model measures 5 meters in length which is about the size of the original rock that I found on a floodplain in the Caribbean. The only plugin required to render the scene immediately is the Vray renderer, but it is very simple to build shaders for other renderers. There are 2 materials to choose from: one with displacement and one with a normal map. The 3 textures have a resolution of 8192 x 8192 pixels. The color and normal map are 8 bits jpg images. The displacement map is a 16 bit Tiff. I did not include a specular or gloss map because specularity did not look right in my opinion. Limestone is very rough and chalky. Specularity made it look more like granite, so I decided not to add it. Of course you are free to create specularity and gloss maps out of the color map if you think the model does need it.
