The "pan de muerto", is a traditional bread, made to conmemorate the "dia de muertos" which is celebrated in mexico on novemenber 1st and 2nd.
It is usually placed on "ofrendas" (an offering to the dead ones that once we loved)
Nowadays, you can find pan de muerto being sold at bakerys starting from september, until late november.
Pan de muerto, literally means bread of dead (person).
But it is just the name.
