Description
Two types of pavilions resembling two types of trees: Pinus pinea and Quersus spp are designed. The pavilions provide an unprecedented outdoor meeting place for citizens. The desire to connect and bond with nature is accomplished. The external hexagonal structure interlacing and extending as branches becomes the skin. The internal voronoi cells resembling rocks become adjustable seats. The shadows the pavilions cast are almost indistinguishable from the shadows the trees cast. It is uncertain whether it is an indoor or outdoor space. In fact, it can best be described as a habitable tree.
*They are designed following the Hidden Markov Chain on grasshopper and using the Vertebi algorithm and python script to determine the spacing of the branches.
