Description
A very popular railroad car typically used in bridge, dam, road and railroad construction, as well as mining. Built in the thousands by the Western Wheeled Scraper Company, they were used from the late 'teens to the present. This prototype was built for the West Side Lumber Company in Northern California.
The SolidWorks Assembly, .obj and Parasolid x_t each contain one track section and two cars, one open and one closed. See thumbnails. The SolidWorks and Parasolid models are fixed, but can be "floated" and re-mated should you need to animate the motion.
One car and the track section has 3,476,344 polys. The vertices count is estimated as these are NURBS models.
Thumbnails rendered in KeyShot 4 Pro. The UV mapping allows for wood grain application and direction.
