Description
Nuclear Dry Cask Storage with BWR Boiling Water Reactor Fuel Assembly
This is the typical dry cask storage that is used for boiling water reactor, and pressurized water reactor fuels. When the fuel has cooled enough in a common storage pool, the fuel can be transferred to one of these storage casks. These cylinders are usually stored on site at nuclear power facilities, as the fuel awaits permanent storage. This assembly is also the type used at Fukushima for fuel transfers from the fuel pool.
Modeling Information
This model is built from 566 parts which can be edited, remodeled, painted, or deleted to meet your specifications. The loaded spent fuel rack inside the cask is highly detailed and can be used individually. Only one spent fuel assembly is in the cask, due to its data size. A fully loaded cask of assemblies would be large, nearing 500 MB. The fuel pellets could be deleted from the fuel rods to achieve a smaller file size.
Mapping and Renderer
All parts are UVW'ed and are ready for painting. The Max scanline renderer is enabled. Mapping is not included, because the materials are very simple and can be applied in your 3d program.
