Description
SUBWAY ENTRANCE
This detailed model is an accurate version of the subway entrances found in New York until the 1960s.
It has been created in 3ds Max 2012 and uses the mental ray renderer.
The scene cameras have been used to produce the published preview images. Everything you see in the preview renders is included in the product.
All the scene objects have been organised into hierarchical groups. All objects are editable polygons and have been cleanly modelled. The scene is entirely made up of quads and tris.
In real world dimensions the subway entrance is 7.5m long, 2.3m wide and is 4.3m high. A short length of subway tunnel extends beyond the bottom of the steps.
Key objects in the model are:
- Subway entrance structure
- Steps to short length of subway tunnel
All objects are textured. Ten textures are used in all. The textures use mental ray's shaders and templates. Twelve custom JPG image files are used. Ten of these images files are 2048 x 2048. The remaining two, for the glass entrance sign and subway direction sign, are 1690 x 365 and 2048 x 394 respectively.
The model is also available in FBX and OBJ formats.
No sub-division modifiers are applied to the objects in the model but all geometry is sub-dividable.
All the preview renders were produced on a Windows 7 PC with 4gb ram.
