Description
The First Soviet Tractor - "Zaporozhets"
It was made in 1923 at the "Red Progress" factory.
The tractor was created for processing of small plots. It was made from cheap and available materials therefore it was simple in production and operation.
Intended generally for work with a two-case plow. Also there was a possibility of work with other agricultural hook-on cars of general purpose.
The Zaporozhets had very unusual design to present measures. The tractor worked at the oil engine mix ignition in which happened from a firing head which before start-up of the engine warmed to a very high temperature. Not to apply difficult differential in production, one driving wheel behind was established. The tractor moved only with one speed — 3,6 km/h.
