Description
The Model is a scale reproduction of a Standard U.S.Navy Steam Cutter, as described in a Navy book dated 1902, by A.M.P Maschmeyer.
The project considered a steam engine, two sails and possibility to use rows.
The hull shape was a standard for different boat dimensions: 28", 30", 33",
36" and 40". The present Model is the 40" version.
The Model has been drawn with the new Blender 2.80, using Cycles render engine.
It was later converted to 3dsMax 13, OBJ and Vrml 97.
As many people are still using Blender with Render Internal, a separate 2.79 Blender version has been made, again starting from the 2.80 one.
The Model includes a simple sea/sky background.
Sails or tent arrangement can be easily activated using both groups present in the diferent files.
Sails show white color, but as that has been obtained from red sail images by color component reduction, then it is quite immediate to repristinate red sails in the Model.
16 image-textures has been used in the Model for a total of 3.74Mb.
