Skyguard Turret Modello 3D

Detailed model of the Rheinmetal/Oerlikon Skyshield air defense/MOOTW/C-RAM system's turret. The automated turret houses a 35mm Oerlikon "millenium" gun. This defense system was designed for protecting summit meetings and vital national infrastructure as well as troops deployed in peacekeeping and nation-building missions against incoming rockets, artillery and mortar rounds. Modeled in Lightwave 3D after press photos. I had to estimate it's full size, but proportions are OK. Other formats than lwo are converted with Deep Exploration. Polygon count can be drastically reduced by deleting the screw layer, and replacing it with UV mapped screws. The procedural lwo version is also easily repaintable with the supplied 15+ camo textures.
