This Fireworks is made with Pflow inside 3dmax.
The scene easy to understand and can be changed to your needs, with everything labeled and named.
The fireworks height is 100 meters and about 50 meters wide. The animation runs over 230 frames.

A glow filter was added to the final render in comp.
