Description
Delta IV Medium (Delta 9040)
Delta IV is an active expendable launch system in the Delta rocket family. Final assembly is completed at the launch site by ULA. The rockets were designed to launch payloads into orbit for the United States Air Force Evolved Expendable Launch Vehicle (EELV) program and commercial satellite business.
Delta IV rockets are available in five versions: Medium, Medium+ (4,2), Medium+ (5,2), Medium+ (5,4), and Heavy, which are tailored to suit specific payload size and weight ranges. Delta IV was primarily designed to satisfy the needs of the U.S. military.
Modeling Information
This is a high quality model with most of the exterior components and details present. All modeling dimensions were built in scale. The rocket comes in three pieces, the upper stage, the CBC (Common Booster Core) and Engine. The mapping is named according to the mesh it should be assigned to.
The RS-68 motors are a moderate level of detail, minus the various sensors and tubing to support the sensors, valves, or screws.
This model has been presubdivided for high quality renderings or animations.
Baked Mapping
The mapping was baked in V-Ray at 4096x4096 px under global illumination. These maps can be modified with mission specific logos and insignias. The logos and insignias used are not mission specific, but typical of the size and placement of standard mission types.
Environment
One HDRI lighting scene is included with this model, simply apply it to your V-Ray HDRI slot in the material editor.
