Description
4 detailed models of the Eames Molded Plastic Side Chairs with bases. Modeled with attention paid to detail to closely match the real world chairs.
Poly count can vary depending on which items are smoothed. For instance, smaller items such as bolts don't need smoothing, or can have a smoothing level of 1. While larger items like the seat or legs could be smoothed to 1 or 2.
For reference, for the criss-cross wire legs version, without any smoothing the model is 2,438 polys. Smoothing level 1 = 9,868. Smoothing level 2 = 39,472. And 'optimized' or mixed smoothing levels (1 for bolts/legs, and 2 for seat) = 14,104 polys.
For the simple 4-leg verion without any smoothing the model is 1,910 polys. Smoothing level 1 = 7,676. Smoothing level 2 = 30,704. And 'optimized' or mixed smoothing levels (1 for bolts/leg base, and 2 for seat/legs) = 18,824 polys.
For the stackable version without any smoothing the model is 2,346 polys. Smoothing level 1 = 9,424. Smoothing level 2 = 37,696. And 'optimized' or mixed smoothing levels (1 for bolts/legs, and 2 for seat) = 13,660 polys.
And for the wooden base version the poly count is listed as the product poly count (34,120). It's poly count can also vary depending on what is smoothed. Without any smoothing that version is 4,846 polys.
C4D, MA, and MB file formats contain texture/shading information. FBX and OBJ formats do not include texturing, but are still UV mapped. The seat texture has a file texture associated with it that can be re-used in other formats. Main renders above done in C4D, but a preview of the chairs rendered in Maya is also shown above.
Rendered with the C4D Physical Renderer in version R 15. R 13 compatible file included, with texturing/shading information! Maya render done in Mental Ray in Maya 2013.
