Description

This is a small collection of models that are designed to be cloned in order to populate a desert area of a game set. The models, where appropriate, have associated specular maps in addition to color and tangent normal maps which are coded using the Morten S. Mikkelsen algorithm. The .blend files should all have triangulated models on the first layer. On the layer beneath, the models are mostly all quad-based geometry in case further editing is desired. Most of the rendered images presented are rendered with Blender Cycles however the turntable named OasisPack_00 was rendered with an OpenGL/GLSL program that I coded specifically to render turntables for use with this site. The texture maps range from 1024x1024 up to 2048x2048 Many of the 2048 textures can be further scaled down without appreciable loss in quality, but since it's nice to have hi-res images to work with I left them at the larger size. I also have object space maps baked but not uploaded, if anyone is interested in them I will post them as a preview image in .png format or if floating point images are required I can pack them and upload them as an archive. Just be sure to specify the axis alignment that you require, i.e.: The GPU standard, I believe, is ->(+x, +y, +z) or perhaps you use (+x, -z, -y), etc... If you have any further questions please leave a message and I will update the page with the new information.
