Description
Name of the model: " Tumaricone Conch Smooth"
Triangles: 1011704
Vertices: 505854
Information: This model emulates an almost sphericone to cadicone conch known as tumaricone, with an smooth shell surface. According to Westermann (1996) Spherocone shells are overall inflated, and may be wider than the planispiral diameter. Spherocones have most or all of the umbilicus covered. Locomotion would be optimized at low speeds (Jacobs 1992). At very small sizes, such as hatching size, viscosity ensures laminar flow, and a lower friction drag makes the sphaerocone more efficient than compressed forms (Jacobs 1992).
