This model has a clean geometry based on quads. It is not rigged.
To render the Maya 2012 file , press the '3' button for the smooth geometry approximation preview and render.
For Obj and Fbx versions you would need to run a polysmooth to get the same Maya 2012 result.
Obj version is directly exported from Maya.
FBX version is directly exported from Maya.
The Obj version contains all the pieces of the mesh combined . In order to have them separated (if needed) use the separate command under mesh menu in Maya or the one provided by your application.
