Description
BB-8 Droid from Star Wars: The Force Awakens movie.
The model is high-poly, high quality representation of the droid featured in the movie. It comes with sets of 4k PBR textures made in Substance Painter, for body, head, orange rings, metal panels (greebles) inside those rings and cameras separately.
Model was created with Blender and images were rendered with its Cycles render engine using PBR-like shader setup.
Blender model comes with textures packed and is render ready as is, materials are set up for Cycles.
You should be able to easily import OBJ and FBX into any 3D software and use any render engine which can use PBR textures. Only thing that should be additionally setup are LED lights (materials are assigned).
The model consists mainly from quads. Ngons and triangles are present at cuts and some edges but they don't show when shaded smooth.
The model consists of following separate parts:
- body
- orange rings
- panels inside rings (greebles)
- head
- cameras
You should be able to join parts as necessary. UVs will get overlapped but each object will use its own set of UVs and textures, so materials shouldn't get messed up.
