Description
A late 14th century Italian palace, from the "View of the Ideal Town" painting by Fra' Carnevale.
This is a medium polycount model fit for both real time and general visualization.
Modelled in real world scale, this palace is 18,9 meters wide and 20,3 meters tall (based upon a wild guess).
This model is centered at the origin with zeroed transforms.
Rendered in Blender Cycles and issued in polygonal form.
Geometry is almost full quads with just a few tens of triangles and is not built for subdivision.
Geometry shading is set at 37 degrees.
Two objects, two materials, each with a 2048x2048 set of PBR textures in .Png format.
All sets include Base Colour, Roughness, Metal, Normal (OpenGL), Height.
One object includes paving and roofing.
The other object includes the rest of the palace.
Objects, materials and textures names match.
UVs are totally overlapping to maximize detail on the 2 2024x2024 sets.
This building is part of a series meant to replicate all buildings in the painting, naming convention is based upon that:
IT_Tan_Right_1, meaning "Ideal Town palace with tan plaster, first buildin on the right".
Cycles materials need to be rebuilt when used in different applications than Blender, but they export as
Phong materials when exported to .Fbx.
Textures for exchange formats are issued as a separate download in the Support Files Section. The .Zip also includes Ambient Occlusion and Material Masks maps.
Lighting rig included.
